Cubby Box is a photo-based inventory and organization app powered by AI. Point your camera at any item and Cubby Vision identifies it instantly — name, category, condition, and description. Cubby Calculator then estimates what it might be worth on the resale market. For kids ages 7–16, the app wraps all of this into a game complete with Cubby Coins, badges, streaks, and a rewards shop called the Cubby Cave. Adults can use it too for organizing and inventorying their own belongings.

Cubby Box is primarily designed for kids ages 7–16, but adults use it too! Parents need to create a parent account first and then create a kid account for their child within the household. Many parents find that they enjoy the AI inventory features for organizing their own stuff alongside their kids.

Yes. Cubby Box takes child safety seriously. Kid accounts are created exclusively by a verified parent or guardian — children cannot create accounts on their own. We are COPPA-compliant and do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or location data from children under 13. There are no ads displayed to children. We do not share children's data with third parties for any marketing purpose. Parents have full control: you can review your child's account, edit it, or delete it at any time from the household management settings.

Cubby Vision uses Anthropic's Claude AI model to identify items from photos. When you tap "Identify" and take a photo, the image is securely transmitted to the AI, which analyzes it and returns the item's name, description, category, and condition — usually in just a few seconds. The photo is processed in real time and is not stored by Anthropic. You can edit or correct any AI-generated information at any time.

Cubby Calculator estimates the current resale market value of your item. After an item is identified (or manually entered), you can tap "Get Value" and Cubby Box sends the item's name, description, and condition to the AI for a price estimate. The result is a price range based on typical resale market data — think Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, eBay, and similar platforms. Please note these are educational estimates, not professional appraisals, and should not be used for insurance, legal, or tax purposes.

Cubby Coins are the virtual currency kids earn in Cubby Box by organizing their belongings — cataloging items, setting up rooms and containers, completing streaks, and unlocking badges. Kids spend their Cubby Coins in the Cubby Cave, which is a rewards shop where they can unlock custom avatars, room themes, photo frames, and other fun cosmetics. Cubby Coins have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or real goods.

Cubby Box is free to download with a generous free tier that includes core organizing features and AI identification. Premium features — including advanced analytics, additional household members, and extended history — are available through a family subscription. Exact pricing will be announced at launch. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Yes, absolutely. You can delete your account at any time from within the App through Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes all your personal data, items, photos, and records within 30 days. Parents can also delete a child's kid account independently through household management settings without affecting the parent account. If you cannot access the App, email us at support@getcubbybox.com and we will process the deletion for you.

Cubby Box is available for iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices. The app requires a camera for Cubby Vision and an internet connection for AI features, cloud sync, and gamification. Core browsing of your existing inventory works offline, with changes syncing automatically when you reconnect.
